Madison Holiday Tour of Homes

Step back in time and join us as Madison-Morgan Cultural Center presents our 2024 Holiday Tour of Homes showcasing some of the most beautifully preserved antebellum homes decorated in festive holiday decor. The tour is a self-guided walking tour, featuring historic homes in and around Madison.

The Madison Holiday Tour of Homes will be held on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th. Day Tour hours will be from 10am - 4pm, and Candlelight Tour will be from 5pm - 9pm on both Friday and Saturday. Group tours are also available.

Ticket Pricing:

  • Earlybird Day Tour Only: $30

  • Earlybird Candlelight Tour Only: $30

  • Earlybird Day & Candlelight Combo: $50

Earlybird ticket pricing through November 30th. After that day, Day Tour / Candlelight Tour (Single) tickets increase to $40 per person, and the Combination ticket increases to $70.

A Burchfield Family Christmas featuring Sam Burchfield, Pip the Pansy, and Cicada Rhythm

A seasonal supergroup of local talent spearheaded by Sam Burchfield and his wife, Pip the Pansy, both internationally recognized artists, along with husband and wife duo, Cicada Rhythm from Athens, Ga.

Join us on Friday, December 13th, in the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center’s Hall on Foster for an exciting and festive concert featuring well-known favorites from Vince Guaraldi and Burl Ives to deep holiday cuts from Paul McCartney, Chuck Berry, and Marvin Gaye.

Doors open at 6:30pm, show begins at 7:00pm. Tickets are $25 / person. Children accompanied with a parent are FREE.

Madison Collects: Eugene Swain

From the private collections of Madison residents, this latest exhibit in the “Madison Collects” visual arts series shines the spotlight on Eugene Swain, a Madison ‘self-taught” artist who specialized in capturing rural life in Morgan County through his artwork. In 2021, Eugene Swain was tragically killed in a car crash, but his work still lives on through the Madison art community and the many residents who still own pieces of his work.

We hope you will come out on Sunday, June 9th from 2-4pm at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center for the opening and dessert reception. The exhibit will showcase over 70 painting and others works by the late artist, curated by Laree Zant and Karen Massey.

Under the leadership of renowned band director, Jeffrey Rowser, Director of Bands at Morgan County High School and Karisa Seymour, Morgan County Middle School Director, the combined High School and Middle School Madison Morgan County Jazz Band will perform in MMCC historic auditorium. Join the Easter Bunny on March 24th (Palm Sunday) at 2 pm for a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt on the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center’s Front Lawn! There will be 3 separate age groups (0-3, 4-6, 7 to 10 years) hunting for Easter eggs and vying for the chance to find the GOLDEN egg, a coveted top prize!

Remember to bring your basket. After the egg hunt, everyone is welcome to enjoy lemonade and cookies with the Easter Bunny. It’s going to be an “Egg-cellent, Egg-straordinary, and Egg-citing” event for the whole family!

An exhibit featuring 17 paintings by Benny Andrews depicting the life of late U.S Congressman John Lewis and the Civil Rights Movement. They appeared in John Lewis in the Lead: A Story of the Civil Rights Movement by Jim Haskins and Kathleen Benson, a prize-winning book published in 2006 for young readers.

Youth Music Competition

The Youth Music Competition, as a part of the Annual Madison Chamber Music Festival, is a free to the public competition featuring talented young musicians from across the state of Georgia.

In partnership with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Talent Development Program as well as other noted youth organizations to audition gifted young competitors from 4th grade to 11th grade.

The competition will be held across several sessions during the day, and all competitors will be judged by a panel of expert judges.
