Speakers and Presenters
Brad Rice - chair of the History and Humanities Committee of the Cultural Center. Brad will give an overview of black-white education in Morgan County as well as the efforts underway in the Cultural Center building to recognize and present this history.
Alfred Murray, chair of the Pearl Burney Alumni Museum and leader of the efforts to create the Museum. Alfred is a retired pastor, was principal of Morgan County Middle school, and has a long history of contributions to the Morgan County community.
Dr. Rosalyn Mitchell Patterson, graduate of Pearl High School – perspectives on education in Morgan County late 40’s, 50’s, and early 60’s including experiences and community work of her parents and their involvement in education.

Dr. Paul Pressly, Director Emeritus of the Ossabaw Island Educational Foundation. Dr Pressly will discuss his book, A Southern Underground Railroad.
