We are excited to welcome A.D. Blanco to the historic Madison-Morgan Cultural Center theatre for an exciting Mainstage Concert on Thursday, September 21st, 2023 at 7:30pm. The versatile rock band from Athens, GA released their latest studio project, April’s Fool, two months ago, and have been touring the south east on-and-off since March, now adding a stop right here in frontman Bennett Evans’ hometown of Madison, GA.

Join us for a night of music, lights, and dancing — Tickets are $35 and on sale now! Tickets will be available for sale at the door.

A.D. Blanco is as local as it gets in Athens, GA. The three-piece indie rock band was born and raised just fifteen minutes away from the University of Georgia campus, and began playing venues like the Caledonia and 40 Watt in middle school. Before they were a band, Bennett Evans (lead vocal, guitar), and Aaron White (drums, keys), were best friends and neighbors, and grew into musicians under similar influences.

Listening to A.D. Blanco’s recordings, there is a clear comparison to make with bands like The Strokes, Kings of Leon, or Modest Mouse. Their alternative rock style with hints of 90s grunge and punk is reminiscent of early 2000s Brooklyn rock. Certain selections in their discography, namely Clay’s Pond (2021) and Dotted Lines (2023), show versatility in the band’s sound and draw a closer comparison to softer-sounding influences such as The Backseat Lovers.

A.D. Blanco’s newest E.P., April’s Fool, is their third studio project, and most impactful yet. A majority of the production was done in-house by Lange, who - after being a groovin’ bass player - is a certified audio engineer who has accrued over a dozen professional credits. The group continues to mature with each release, but retains the energy of a young, hungry group ready to take any opportunity they’re given.
