Following phenomenal sold-out first and second round performances, the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center proudly presents, Music City Comes To Madison, Round #3 on January 14th. Local favorite and Nashville recording artist Eric Dodd returns bringing with him award-winning songwriters from Nashville including: Dylan Altman, Hannah Dasher and Phil Barton.

Over the last 45 years the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center (MMCC) has acquired many historic artifacts for use in museum exhibits and other displays.  Most of these items are still on display at MMCC or are reserved for future exhibits.  Like all museums, however, the Cultural Center has accumulated many artifacts that don’t fit its plans.

We are thrilled to announce the selection of a new Executive Director to lead the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center. After a nearly year-long process, the MMCC board and executive search committee has chosen Melissa Klein to serve as the organization’s new Executive Director!

The Vintage Duck Decoy Collection of Gene Massey, features working decoys primarily from New England, Maine, and Maryland. They are weighted for stabilization, some have glass eyes, and a few are signed by the maker.

Walking up to the Cultural Center, you may notice a lovely fragrance. The scent is coming from two Edgeworthia chrysantha plants located on either side of the front steps.

Vaseline glass is also called “uranium glass,” and for good reason. Like all types of colored glass, minerals are added to the molten mixture during production to achieve the color. The type of mineral added to Vaseline glass is actually what makes it glow.
